I started out with a 1995 JEEP YJ with 4.0l,5 speed and it all went down hill from there.

Im working on putting an TF 904 automatic transmission into the Jeep, (witch is the factory trans). I found a used trans in Fantana at Scottys Jeep wrecking yard. I thought I would try rebuilding the trans my self but decided to have the local trans shop do it for me. I installed a Tera low 4 to 1 kit into the tranfercase for that extra low crawl ratio. I purchased a Lowkar hot rod shifter that mounts directly to the top of the trans case so I can use the same shifter hole and boot as the old manuel shifter. I'll keep you informed of the out come on the first Rock trip i take it on. See ya on the trail

Well the Automatic trans is finished and I love it. I took my Little girl out to our local mountain foothills and put it to the test and it passed with flying colors. it was alot more work than I expected with puttng the LowKar shifter in and remounting the Tranfer casa shifter, installing an Aux. trans cooler BIG ENOUGH for a RV also installing a trans temp gauge were the old 4X4 indicator light use to be.
